❗ Size Information

Since most of our garments are handmade and often limited to a single piece, we want to ensure you get the perfect fit. You might notice that some items have a size tag. Please be aware that these are typically Asian sizes, which tend to run smaller than standard Western sizing.

For the most accurate fit, please always refer to the specific measurements provided for each individual garment. These measurements are unique to that particular handmade item and will give you the best indication of it‘s true size.

Step into a world of timeless sophistication with our Mulberry Silk Qipao dress. This piece is a contemporary tribute to the classic Cheongsam, featuring a serene ivory silk canvas adorned with delicate ink-wash style floral illustrations in shades of azure and midnight blue. With its meticulous tailoring and hand-finished details, this dress offers a graceful, feminine silhouette that speaks of poetic elegance.

Material: 100% Mulberry Silk.

Mulberry silk is produced from fine, long fibres spun by domesticated silkworms fed on mulberry leaves. The controlled cultivation and careful reeling of the filaments create an exceptionally smooth, uniform yarn that forms the foundation of high-quality silk fabrics.

- Luminous Finish: Enhance the ivory tones of the silk with a Natural Freshwater Pearl Necklace for a look of pure, organic radiance.

- Modern Classic: Style with nude or silver heels and minimal jewelry to keep the focus on the exquisite ink-wash print.

Silk Care Instructions

Silk is a delicate natural fibre that deserves gentle care to preserve its beauty, texture, and shine. Please follow these care instructions to ensure your silk lasts for years to come.

Washing

  • Hand wash only in cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C).
  • Use a mild detergent formulated for silk or delicate fabrics. You may add a small amount of white hair conditioner to the water — it helps restore silk’s natural protein, keeping the fabric soft, smooth, and lustrous.
  • Do not use bleach, stain removers, or harsh chemicals.
  • Gently agitate the fabric — do not wring, twist, or scrub.
  • Note: For Gambiered Guangdong Gauze Silk , slight colour fading during hand washing is normal due to its traditional natural dyeing process.

Rinsing

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean, cool water with
  • Add a few drops of white vinegar to the final rinse to help maintain silk’s natural shine (optional).

Drying

  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Lay the fabric flat on a clean towel and roll it gently to remove excess water.
  • Hang or lay flat to air dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight.

Ironing

  • Iron while the silk is slightly damp on the reverse side.
  • Use the lowest heat setting (Silk or Cool) on your iron.
  • Place a clean cloth between the iron and the silk to prevent marks or shine.

Storage

  • Store silk garments in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
  • Avoid hanging heavy silk garments for long periods.
  • Keep away from moths by using natural repellents such as lavender or cedar.

Professional Cleaning

  • For Song Dynasty Brocade Silk, dry cleaning is recommended to protect its complex weaving and fine detailing.
  • Structured garments or those with mixed materials should also be professionally cleaned.
